Kang Ning’s teaching methodology incorporates fun with
learning. Kang Ning teachers strive to instill a
motivation for learning in our students. In the
classroom, games and activities are a must. Teachers
should use a fun and dynamic approach to introducing
material. The syllabi that are in place make it easy
for teachers to focus on the presentation of the
material and this is an area where our teachers excel.
Taiwanese children are no different from Native speaking
children in their capacity for learning. They want to
learn English but they also want to have fun and this is
a key point to remember when entering an ESL classroom.
Taiwan’s
education differs from Western countries in many
respects but one important fact to remember is that
different does not mean better or worse. Taiwanese
children spend the majority of their waking hours in the
classroom. The average student is enrolled in Chinese
school, cram school, after school programs and English
instruction. For many people outside of Taiwan, this
may seem a little extreme but in actuality it is quite
healthy and most students do not feel that they are
overloaded with burden. In many Western countries,
parents rely on babysitters or daycare to provide
structure for their children while they are at work.
Taiwanese parents rely on education in the same
respect. In a way, Taiwanese students are getting a lot
more out of the education process than children from
other countries, however, because Taiwanese students
spend so much time in the classroom, a far greater
responsibility rests on their teachers. That is, a
responsibility to teach as well as ensure that their
classroom experience is a positive one.
